We Taste Tested the Three New Peanut M&M Flavors

Guess what? M&M's Season Vote is dorsum! Last year America voted for its favorite crunchy M&M flavor, and kept that flavour on the shelves for the remainder of the year. Dorsum past popular demand, Mars Incorporated (the visitor that owns M&One thousand's) is back with some other Flavour Vote. Merely this time, they're experimenting with Peanut M&One thousand'southward.

The new Peanut M&Thousand flavors are…

Last yr'southward 3 crunchy M&M were mixed with popular flavors that pair with chocolate—raspberry, coffee and mint. However, this year, Thou&M's went "around the world" with internationally-inspired flavors. Each season is popular in the specific state that it represents: Mexican Jalapeño, Thai Coconut and English Toffee.

Funky flavors seem to be M&M's specialty lately. They released all sorts of delicious Yard&M's flavors this year including White Cheesecake, Orangish Vanilla and even Hot Cocoa.

Since I've become quite the candy aficionado lately (I've tasted all sorts of new flavors for Snickers, 3 Musketeers and fifty-fifty Reese's), it only makes sense that I should taste the latest Yard&M'due south creation. Hither's what I thought well-nigh the new three.

Mexican Jalapeño

Spicy chocolate sure is having a moment! Snickers released a "fiery" chocolate candy bar last yr, but fabricated it spicy by mixing in chili. Chili and chocolate are two classic flavors unremarkably seen together (kind of like our Orange-Chili Chocolate Cookies). Simply chocolate andjalapeños?At present that's adventurous.

At kickoff bite, the Mexican Jalapeño M&M seems similar whatsoever normal peanut K&M. But after a few seconds, that jalapeño spice nosotros all love starts to kick in. The spiciness is subtle, so you could hands consume the whole purse.

Thai Coconut

Side by side is the Thai Kokosnoot. Before fifty-fifty tasting it, I knew I wasn't going to like this flavor. Not because it isn't a clever candy, because it truly is. It'south because I despise coconut. So, this i was a difficult laissez passer for me.

But for some of my co-workers, the Thai Coconut was dubbed the best. Some compared it to pineapple fried rice (which I found foreign, since you usually don't find pineapple fried rice recipes with kokosnoot in information technology), while others said it tasted like a piña colada. Which, of form, makes perfect sense given that piña coladas accept coconut in them and the Peanut G&M on the package has a piña colada in its hand.

I of the cleverest observations fabricated near the Thai Coconut was how smart it was to mix this flavor with a Peanut One thousand&M. Finding peanuts in Thai dishes is pretty common, simply like this Thai Peanut Craven and Noodles.

English Toffee

Terminal is the English Toffee. Given that this was the first bag to exist completely emptied by my coworkers, I would have to say this was a crowd pleaser.

The English language Toffee was certainly overpowering in flavour compared to the subtleness of the Mexican Jalapeño, simply it didn't seem to bug the team. Information technology made me desire to whip up a batch of our English language toffee to share, since we all liked this flavor so much.

And the winner is…

If I had to vote, I would probably say English language Toffee was my favorite. Mexican Jalapeño comes in a second (mostly because it made me desire some jalapeño poppers) and Thai Kokosnoot dead last. Sad, coconut lovers, but information technology'south only not for me.

These three flavors are officially bachelor at nationwide retailers, so get pick up some packs and find out which one you love! The M&M's Flavor Vote will be going on until May 17, and the winner will be announced in Baronial.
